Health One Medical Center – Clinical Experience for International Medical Graduates (IMGs)
At Health One Medical Center, our Externship Program offers international medical graduates (IMGs) a structured and meaningful opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This program is designed to provide valuable exposure to the U.S. healthcare system and strengthen core competencies essential for practicing medicine in the United States.
Program Goals
- Develop a deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare environment
- Enhance clinical decision-making and patient interaction skills
- Gain familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Improve medical documentation and professional communication
- Bridge the gap between international training and U.S. clinical expectations
- Develop a deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare environment
What You’ll Gain
- Experience in history taking, patient assessment, and supervised physical exams
- Hands-on exposure to EMR usage (formal training included)
